Napa Wineries Face Global Warming
The Napa and Sonoma microclimates produce world famous wines, but what happens if the climate changes? Scientists are predicting that global warming could increase the number of super-hot days in the California wine region, interfering with the way grapes ripen. Local scientists and wineries are beginning to look at how to prepare.
This Week on QUEST

Aerial San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge Through the Fog. This classic shot with the cars driving accross the bridge, a pulse in the vien, was taken from a helicopter 2006. The Funny thing about fog here in San Francisco is you can move a few hundred yards, a few thousand yards, make a shift and you are in an entirely different weather pattern. It was sunny just on the other side of the bridge. You can see the cars and buses are well lit even though the fog surrounds the bridge, that is what makes this such an unusual photograph.

Perfect spheres on perfect blades of grass. perfect. like everything everywhere everyday.
From SF Bay Images Serenity Series
My hompage gives me a word of the day every day, I find that todays word brings me a clear vision of an image. For those not from the San Francisco Bay Area, two coyotes were shot in Golden Gate Park last week by authorities because they mauled a dog on a leash. It has been a point of contention. None the less, I find Coyotes to be shy, like this one hiding behind a blade of grass.

From within the Cathedral of the great outdoors, where the rays of sunlight filter through the trees rather then stained glass, and the quiet hush from the rich forest floor can provide haven for any soul. For those less world weary, the awe of nature inspires. Visit Muir Woods.
