Marine Production Hand-held Gyro Samples - Dahls Porpoise
SFBayImages.com Marine Production Services - Handheld gyro stabilized Full HD HDV footage captured in the Gulf of the Farallones. The footage produced employing gryo handheld stablizers is usually pretty good for many production uses. For documentaries, commerical and film projects, a makohead stabilizer or other system is definitely preferable. See our other samples.
We can capture for you anything marine from nature to sailboats to tankers and lighthouses. Extensive Sea Experience. Extensive Production Experience.

"Gitana 13" is a 110 foot Catamaran whose speed can reach up to 43 knots. They hit light winds on the last leg entering the mouth of the San Francisco Bay. Even in light winds they passed under the Golden Gate Bridge at 10 to 14 knots.
The finish line is between Alcatraz Lighthouse and Coit Tower. The oldest record of this route was the famous passage of the "Flying Cloud" in 1854 with the time of 89 days and 8 hours. The passage was dubbed "Route D'Or" for the California Gold Rush. In 1998 "Aquitainne Innovations", another French vessel, broke that record making the time of 57 days and 3 hours.
The "Gitana 13" will makes its next stop in Tokyo on its way around the world.

On Friday, January 4th, the San Francisco Bay and surrounding areas experienced a hurricane like storm with wind speeds of over 75 mph recorded around and record rainfall. It knocked the power out to approxiametely 1.9 million utility customers. About 357,000 customers remained without power for the weekend. I was one of them,(Sandra Cannon), which is why it took me so long to edit the video. The second half of the video shows most of the same locations on an average Sausalito morning. Excuse the handheld shake in the storm section, but it was RAINING AND WINDY outside.

Islands on a Nature Documentary. On location sound for interviews, nature sounds and an attempt at recording from an underwater hydro-phone. On other trips
we have captured incredible underwater marine mammal "communications". This trip we had spectacular breaching whales, but no underwater sounds.
