The maritime history is one of my favorite parts of the SF Bay area. The foghorns last night were strong and intense. My houseguest thought she dreamed them, she said over breakfast on the deck looking out this sunny autumn morning that revealed no fog. But upon a dawn patrol trip to the Marin Headlands we found a think fall blanket of fog low lying under the Golden Gate Bridge.
